How a text prompt becomes an exportable mesh

A text prompt becomes an exportable mesh in four passes: generate the form, unwrap UVs and paint PBR maps, remesh to a face budget, then export the file your tool expects. The prompt decides the object and the material. The face budget is a separate control. Pro includes this whole path except auto-rig, which is on Studio.

What you get back

A text generation returns a mesh with UVs and PBR maps: base color, roughness, metallic, and normal. That is the same map set AI Texturing produces when you retexture a mesh you already have.

Treat the first result as a starting asset. If the silhouette is right and the material is wrong, retexture. If the form is right and the density is wrong, remesh. Do not keep regenerating to chase a polygon count.

How to write the prompt

Name the object, the style, and the material. “Weathered oak treasure chest with iron bands” holds up better than “cool chest,” because the material gives the texture pass something to resolve.

Add a view only when it changes the read, such as “three-quarter, lid slightly open.” Leave polygon counts out of the sentence. Face budget is a remesh decision, not a prompt.

Remesh before you export

Smart Remesh takes a face budget and returns quad or triangle topology that holds the shape. Set the budget for the destination: a background prop can be lighter than an asset you will keep sculpting.

The prompt does not guarantee a triangle count. The budget control does. Set it, check the silhouette, then export.

Which plan covers it

Text to 3D, image to 3D, AI texturing, Smart Remesh, commercial use, and export to GLB, FBX, OBJ, STL, USDZ, and 3MF are on Pro.

Auto-rig and the API are on Studio. Credits are monthly and do not roll over. Enterprise is custom volume, SSO, and custom terms.
